This is a Iron Mountain #8 skillet- made by Griswold. This pan is over 100 years old and ready to be used for another 100 years! Measuring 10.5" in diameter. Nice and light weight for its size- complete with matching lid.
The lid is in amazing conditions, however the pan does have a little bit of pitting on the bottom and a couple of blemish marks (all pictured). Over all still a wonderful glassy smooth cooking surface.
Produced 1930s-1940s. Distinctive handle shape, and marked with the blocky italic Griswold font. While not sold exclusively through any one major retail chain, otherwise-unmarked Iron Mountain pieces were sold with adhesive paper labels affixed. Their cost, according to old price lists, was 20-30% below that of Griswold's Good Health line.
