Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is a staple on holiday tables, but don’t forget to use it as a relish for sandwiches or zesty topping for pound cake

Ingredients: 1/2 cup wildflower honey, 1 teaspoon orange zest, 1/2 cup orange juice, 2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks (optional), 1 (12 ounce) bag fresh or frozen cranberries, pinch of salt

combine honey, zest, juice, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until honey and juice are well blended.

Stir in cranberries and salt. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 7 to 10 minutes, uncovered, until berries burst and mixture thickens. Discard cinnamon sticks. serve at room temperature or chilled.
