Whiskey-Amaretto Sour

Skip prepared sour mixes with unnatural ingredients- instead stir together a simple Honey Syrup with fresh lemon juice. You can keep the Honey syrup in the fridge for a week.


  • 1 1/2 Ounces (3 tablespoons) amaretto liqueur
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) whisky or burbon
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) honey syrup
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh lemon juice
  • Garnishes: maraschino cherry, lemon slice or peel


  • Combine amaretto, whiskey, honey syrup, and lemon juice in an ice-filled cocktail shaker.
  • Shake vigorously and strain into an ice filled glass
  • Garnish if desired
